Introducing seven days, seven movies, your tailored guide on what to watch this week. For our first list we’ve chosen comedies to try and rid us of those iso-blues. So pop some popcorn, grab a glass, snuggle down, and enjoy a night of laughs.



Diving back into the lives of the Griswold family, Vacation follows the now adult Rusty Griswold as he tries to re-embark on the journey he took as a child. In hopes it will bring his family closer together. But just like years ago, things don’t go quite to plan. Disaster after disaster ensues, can Rusty get his family to bond in all the madness? – Watch on 7Flix at 7:30pm AEST Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25.



Ferris is a street-wise kid who knows all the tricks. He decides to take the day off school and takes his two best friends along for the ride. One of them (Cameron) is reluctantly persuaded to borrow his father’s Ferrari, and together they hatch a plan to get the other (Sloane) out of class. Suspicious dean of students Ed Rooney knows all about Ferris, but his best efforts to catch the miscreant always seem to fail. No matter what he does, Ferris is an ‘angel’ in his parents’ eyes. After being kicked out of his rock band, guitarist Dewey Finn faces a mountain of debts and depression. One day when he happens to answer the phone for his roommate Ned Scneebly, he’s given an opportunity and accepts a job as a substitute teacher at a snobbish private elementary school. There, his attitude and hijinks have a powerful result on his students. He learns they are talented young musicians, and he decides to form a rock band with them to win the $10,000 prize money in a local band contest. Will these children be enough to win the money and get him out of debt? – Watch School of Rock on Netflix or Stan.



Troubled that he has little access to his children, divorced parent Daniel Hillard hatches an elaborate plan. With help from his creative brother Frank, he dresses as an older British woman and convinces his ex-wife, Miranda, to hire him as a nanny. “Mrs. Doubtfire” wins over the children and helps Daniel become a better parent — but when both Daniel and his nanny persona must meet different parties at the same restaurant, his secrets may be exposed. – Watch Mrs. Doubtfire on Disney+



A male nurse (Greg) plans to ask his girl friend to marry him. However, he learns that her strict father expects to be asked for his daughter’s hand before she can accept. Thus begins the visit from Hell as the two travel to meet mum and dad, who turns out to be former CIA with a lie detector in the basement. Coincidentally, a sister also has announced her wedding to a young doctor. Of course everything that can go wrong, does, how will Greg change the family’s opinion of him? – Watch Meet the Parents on Stan.



Happy Gilmore has long aspired to be a hockey player. Despite a powerful shot, Happy’s inability to skate and his volatile behaviour excludes him from being accepted by any hockey team. Furthermore, Happy’s grandma is being evicted from her home after failing to pay her taxes. After playing with some golf clubs and learning he can shoot golf balls far distances, he decides to join the PGA Tour in an effort to win money to buy back his grandma’s home. Can he defy the odds and beat the pros at their own game? – Watch Happy Gilmore on Netflix.



Austin Powers is a 60’s spy who is cryogenically frozen and released in the 1990’s. The world is a very different place for Powers. Unfortunately for Austin, everyone is no longer sex-mad. Although he may be in a different decade, his mission is still the same. He has teamed up with Vanessa Kensington to stop the evil Dr Evil, who was also frozen in the past. Dr Evil stole a nuclear weapon and is demanding a payment of (when he realises its the 90’s) 100 billion dollars. Can Austin Powers stop this madman? or will he caught up with Evil’s henchman, with names like Alotta Fagina and Random Task? Only time will tell! – Watch on Netflix.
