For the past four decades, The Original Eumundi Markets has been attracting visitors from all around the world. Many tourists and locals says the markets are among the best they have ever experienced.
Established in 1979, the markets have welcomed an abundance of visitors over the years, all of them taking home special Eumundi memories and keepsakes that remind them of their trip.
The Original Eumundi Markets are recognised as one of the biggest and best artisan markets in Australia.
Set among heritage-listed fig trees, with tasty street food, live musicians and performers, along with the country charm of the town, visitors are drawn to return year after year.
Market-goers are treated to an array of handcrafted homewares and fashion, some of which is sustainable and/or upcycled, beautiful jewellery, fresh local produce and gourmet delights from all corners of the globe.
Gerry Roberts from Pumpkin Jetty Australia, who has been a stallholder for the past 24 years, knows just how much the markets have evolved over the years. Her tiny tents for children can be found in homes in every corner of the globe.
“The markets have been a great starting point for my business, and I love how being a part of the markets allows me to mingle with people from all walks of life and all different countries and cultures,” she says.
“I’ve found that people are really focused on having unique things, not mass-produced products. I love how supportive the market environment is. I’m looking forward to continuing to be a part
of the markets that are recognised around the world and that continue to grow year upon year.
“Visitors of the markets can explore at their own pace, enjoy the local produce, and meet the stallholders who personally make the products they sell. With so much to see and do, memories are made for everyone who attends.”
If you are looking for a fun day out, head to the markets on a Wednesday or Saturday and discover it for yourself.
