There’s a party gearing up unlike anything Solbar has ever seen before as the music venue celebrates its eighth birthday.
Nine live acts will perform over Easter Saturday and Sunday, with genre-blurring Sydney band Bootleg Rascal (pictured) raising the roof as headliners on Saturday with support from Brisbane’s indie dubsters, Hemingway.
Coast newcomers The Fins will be getting the party started in the lounge bar and the fun will continue into the wee hours with world champion turntablist, New York’s DJ Total Eclipse.
“Bootleg Rascal packed the place last time they were in town, and that was a Thursday, so we know people are going to be absolutely stoked to get to party with them again,” Solbar’s Melissa O’Bryan says.
Sunday promises to keep the party going with a great line-up of live acts from 5pm. The main event is popular Brisbane band Bugs, with support bands The Bonnie Doons and Dorah Jacson getting things warmed up in Solbar’s band room.
In the lounge bar, some of the Coast’s favourite rockers will be unplugging their amps to play stripped-back acoustic versions of their tunes, including Big Whoops and The Unknowns.
Your Mates will create a custom-built Larry Lounge, where punters can sample a range of Your Mates’ best beers, play games, win merch, and chat beer with the brewery crew.
