An ace at playing tennis

At 92, Hilary Chessher MBE is proving that age is no barrier to staying active.

He continues to play tennis up to three times a week at Ballinger Park Tennis Club, where he is a life member.

Hilary has been part of the club for more than two decades, after first taking up tennis at the age of 50.

More than 20 years ago, he underwent major shoulder surgery and was told he would never play tennis again.

Through determination and daily exercise, he returned to the court and reignited his passion for the game.

Away from the court, Hilary and his wife Shirley celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in January this year.

The Ballinger Park Tennis Club hopes Hilary continues enjoying the game he loves for many years to come.
