Sunshine Coast songbird and five-time ARIA Award-winning artist Katie Noonan is bringing her landmark 30th studio album, Alone but all one, to a special show in Noosa.
The show will be at The J in Noosa on October 24, accompanied by the River Suite String Quartet.
Released earlier this year, the number one ARIA Australian artist physical album, Alone but all one, is an intimate and powerful exploration of love in all its stages and marks Katie’s first songwriting collaboration with her friend, acclaimed writer Trent Dalton.
The album is both delicate and deeply affecting, featuring Katie’s exquisite vocals and piano accompanied only by the River Suite String Quartet.
Recorded live in Katie’s lounge room in the hills behind Nambour, the album captures a sense of intimacy and immediacy. “In the spirit of shared experience, half the album I wrote solo and the other half I wrote with dear Trent’s words,” Katie says.
“It honours the birth of love, while I reflect the reimagined love after divorce.
“This album is for anyone who’s gone through a life shift – not just separation, but grief, uncertainty or quiet reinvention. It’s music for sitting with things. For remembering we’re not alone, even in solitude. It’s personal, but I hope it resonates in a way that becomes collective.”
At the Noosa show, Katie will be joined by Mark Wilkinson, who has spent more than a decade carving out a unique place in the indie folk scene with his evocative songwriting and captivating live performances.
