After four months of lockdown, 63 supported staff from Maroochydore’s Endeavour Foundation business solutions centre could not wipe the smiles off their faces as they returned to work.
Senior site manager Jason Jewry says the transition back is running smoothly as foundation introduces new COVID safe procedures with everyone more than excited to be back.
“We were forced to stand down our supported employees in April,” Mr Jewry says.
“Meaningful and purposeful work is so important in their everyday life and so many of our staff reported seeing smiles and lots of laughter.”
Supported employees, living with intellectual disabilities, assist in document destruction and business solutions for local brands. Mr Jewry says the foundations hopes to bring more employees on in the coming months.
