Coast ‘voice’ progresses

A Sunshine Coast country singer, Phoebe Rose, 17, has secured a spot on Team Ronan on this year’s The Voice Australia.

She first captured the coaches’ attention on the Seven Network’s music program with a moving rendition of Fields of Gold by Eva Cassidy.

Following the sudden passing of her father in 2024, Phoebe dedicated her Blind Audition performance to his memory, with Cassidy being one of his favourite artists.

Her Blind Audition earned high praise from all four coaches.

Ronan Keating said Phoebe “took it to a place I’ve never heard it go to before”, while Kate Miller-Heidke described the performance as “masterful”.

Richard Marx called it a “beautiful performance”, Melanie C was equally impressed, describing Phoebe’s audition as “flawless” and “a voice I want to listen to all day”.
