Foz shares his family’s ivf struggles

On World IVF Day (July 25), SEA FM Breakfast host Luke ‘Foz’ Forrest shared a deeply personal story to highlight the emotional journey faced by thousands of Australian families trying to conceive.

Throughout the week, Foz explored the realities of IVF, infertility and pregnancy loss through conversations, expert insights and stories from people who have walked the same path.

For Foz, the series was more than a radio feature: it was a chance to share a journey that has profoundly shaped his own family.

“Over the past six years, my wife Emily and I have been through seven embryo transfers, three miscarriages and more heartbreak than I ever thought was possible,” he says.

“We’re incredibly grateful to have our four-year-old son Jack, but we also know what it feels like to wonder if you’re ever going to get your happy ending. By sharing our story and hearing from incredible guests like Dr Ben Stokes, from Coastal IVF, a same-sex couple who navigated their own fertility journey, and Bindi Irwin speaking about the impact of endometriosis on fertility, I hope we can help normalise these conversations, break down the stigma and remind people there’s support, hope and a community that understands what they’re going through.”
