Sunshine Coast Lightning has received another significant boost to its corporate backing, as the team welcomes Protector Aluminium to the Lightning family as a Premium Partner.
Protector Aluminium specialises in manufacturing DIY aluminium, glass, and hardware solutions, as well as being staunch water-safety advocates, with products available across Australia and New Zealand.
Sunshine Coast Lightning is eager to collaborate with another local Sunshine Coast business, who is a leader in its niche market.
Lightning CEO Danielle Smith praised Protector Aluminium’s evolution from humble beginnings to one of the largest suppliers of DIY home and trade solutions in Australasia, and welcomed it on board.
“We are thrilled to partner with Protector Aluminium and foresee a strong and enduring relationship with another Sunshine Coast-based business,” Ms Smith says.
“Despite the current challenging landscape, Lightning has continued to attract global partners, demonstrating the unique value proposition that we provide and the demand for a genuine alignment of values.
“Protector’s focus on innovation, wellbeing and community safety really resonates with us as a club and we look forward to exploring this partnership further in 2021.”
Protector Aluminium’s group general manager, Grant Symes, says his company is excited to enter this new partnership with such a high-performing team.
“Lightning are elite in everything they do on and off court and we view this partnership as a truly mutually beneficial pairing,” Mr Symes says.
“We saw great appeal in collaborating with such a strong, internationally recognised women’s sporting team with a formidable, local grass-roots focus.
“The club’s community outreach on the Sunshine Coast really drew our attention and provides this partnership with a core foundation of shared values.”
Protector Aluminium services every state in Australia and New Zealand and is based out of Sunshine Coast headquarters, employing more than 75 staff. It is also the only fencing company that is partnered with Royal Life Saving Australia and Water Safety NZ, given its commitment to pool safety and quality control.
Through its partnership with Lightning, the Protector Aluminium logo will be given prominent exposure on the Lightning netball dress and training kit.
