Visit Sunshine Coast’s annual Visitor Information Centre Volunteer Christmas Party

Visit Sunshine Coast (VSC) celebrated the dedication and hard work of its Visitor Information Centre volunteers at a fun-filled annual Christmas party. This year’s event was held at the Caloundra Power Boat Club and saw close to 170 volunteers dress their merry best for the occasion. The fun night included live music by Sunshine Coast band Pineapple Crush with lucky door prizes up for grabs. The main prize was donated by Sunshine Coast Airport, with one lucky volunteer walking away with return air fares from Sunshine Coast Airport to Auckland, New Zealand. The event tied in with International Volunteer Day, which is held on December 5. VSC recognised volunteers on the night for 15, 20 and even 30 years’ service at its information centres. VSC manages eight information centres across the Sunshine Coast council region, which are staffed by a team of more than 300 volunteers.
